India Reaffirms Strong Support for Palestine at Second Ministerial Meeting of Palestine Donor Group in Brussels

India reaffirmed its long-standing support for Palestine at the Second Ministerial Meeting of the Palestine Donor Group in Brussels. Secretary Sripriya Ranganathan highlighted India's developmental and humanitarian assistance, announced new projects in healthcare, education, rehabilitation, vocational training, and reiterated support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

India reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the people of Palestine during the Second Ministerial Meeting of the Palestine Donor Group (PDG) held in Brussels yesterday. Representing India at the high-level meeting, Secretary (Consular, Passport and Visa, and Overseas Indian Affairs) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Sripriya Ranganathan, underscored India's enduring partnership with the Palestinian people and highlighted the country's continued developmental and humanitarian assistance.

Addressing the gathering, Ms Ranganathan stated that India has consistently supported Palestine through demand-driven development initiatives designed to address the needs of its people. She emphasised that India's assistance has been focused primarily on healthcare, education, capacity building, and vocational training. She also announced several new projects dedicated to rehabilitation, health, education, and vocational training, reinforcing India's commitment to supporting the welfare and development of the Palestinian people.

During her visit, Ms Ranganathan also participated in a meeting hosted by the incoming Chair of the Advisory Commission of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. At the meeting, she reiterated India's continued support for the Agency and acknowledged its efforts in providing assistance to the people of Palestine.

India's participation in the Second Ministerial Meeting of the Palestine Donor Group reflects its sustained engagement in international efforts aimed at supporting Palestine through humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, and capacity-building initiatives. The announcements made during the meeting reaffirm India's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Palestinian people and contributing to their long-term rehabilitation and development.
